The Reckoning of Time
(In The Western Regions Of Myral)
A Cycle is measured from one Darkening to the next: 371 days. The Cycle is divided into four Main Seasons or Tides, Genesis, Suntide, Leafall and Rimesong, which in turn are each divided into three lesser Seasons, yielding a total of 12 Seasons. Each Season Consists of three tendays: 30 days. The Darkening is an 11-day period interposed between the first two seasons of Genesis.

The Watches
A day has 24 hours, though time is seldom measured in this way. More appropriate is the division into watches, four for the day and four for the night. The day watches are named rather than numbered, while the night watches are simply refered to as the first to the fourth. A watch consists of three hours.
