Nurians
Also known as the Vaerhan, or progeny of Vaer, these northlanders are endowed with varied abilities collectively known as the Art. Closely monitored by a priest caste called Questors, this heritage has been severely limited and mostly outlawed since the Cleansing 600 cycles before. Nurians are taught to distrust and fear any unsanctioned use of the Art.
Their distinctive feline eyes set them apart in appearance from other races. Vaerhan are generally very long-lived and hardy, resilient in the face of disease or poison. Qualities and exceptional talents vary greatly in the general population.
